Hello, my name is Gabriel Ditu, and I live in Sydney, Australia.

Trained as a mechanical engineer and computer programmer, my life has been shaped by a strong desire to understand and explore the world we call home. This passion has led me to travel to more than 60 countries across every continent, including Antarctica, experiencing diverse cultures, landscapes, and perspectives.

Photography has been a constant companion throughout this journey. I began at a time when cameras were purely mechanical, and the only digital component was a laboratory timer. As photography has evolved into an increasingly digital medium, I sometimes search for the mechanical essence that once defined it—perhaps now preserved only in the act of printing and hanging an image on a wall.
